Let’s talk art

They talked about Australia by Summerhill Lane

Let’s talk art

Dear loved ones,

It was quite a nice day today, sunny but with a cool breeze.  That breeze didn’t stop me from suntanning on the balcony in a bikini for about an hour.  Glorious!!

The big event of the week was shopping for groceries.  My daughter and I went to the store where I usually work. I stopped working when Covid-19 started as my other daughter threatened me with loss of my grandchildren because of my immanent death.  I thought she was over-reacting, but maybe not.

Anyway, at the store many of the staff were asking me when I was coming back and why I wasn’t working now.  They sure knew how to put me on the spot.  One younger fellow asked me who I was with and when I said this is my daughter, he was stunned.  “You look like sisters”.  Was he pulling my leg, maybe.  He never knew my age, so he might have been surprised.  I shouldn’t flatter myself now because I am talking to you and you know all about me.

I sketched the above painting when my daughter and her friend were talking about Australia and her father and the birds that he loved.  They were not sitting for me but were moving and just being natural.  I let my pencil follow them around and cared not how the sketch turned out.  The birds I added later when I started adding paint.

I like painting from life.  I like movement and spontaneity. Sometimes I do have to work from a photograph for a piece.  There is a fixed quality which is nice too.  If I only have a photograph as a reference then I just look and let my pencil have its way on the paper.  All my paintings of my divine masculine were created from photographs because I did not have long enough in his company to make a sketch from life.  Besides, since I only saw him the one time, we had better things to do.  Smiley face.

I have a canvas sitting on my easel waiting for paint.  Actually, it is waiting for inspiration.  I have hit a low note in my life as you may have gathered from the last few blog posts.  Starving for sex, staving for love, staving for attention.  I am not starving for food though and have gained 8 lbs since this stay at home thing started.  Smiley face.

Thank you for reading my blog post today.  Sorry I have nothing sensual to write about these days as my masculines have other things on their minds.  I love you.  Hugs & Kisses, Summerhill Lane

      1. It won’t be easy for me but I am so grateful that God has His watchful eye on our family that gaining a few pounds should not be such a big thing. You be careful and stay safe my friend. Love 💕 Joni

    1. Hi, thank you for your comments. I most definitely will look at your blog. As for weight loss tips: stop eating bread and pasta and all the comfort food 😁😁😁
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1/2 cup of water- 2times daily. Works without fail if you cut out a lot of carbs of course. Sending you love ❤️
